
The Town of Cairo is in the process of implementing its comprehensive plan through the formation of a zoning commission. We have put together this web page to make the adopted comprehensive plan, meeting minutes, maps, and draft documents accessable to the residents of the town.

The Zoning Commission Handout explains why the zoning commission was set up, what it will do, and how they will involve the public in the process.
In January of 2009, Steven Winkley of the New York Rural Water Association presented the committee with a Groundwater Resources Study and Protection Plan for the town.
The Buildout Report calculates the potential future residential development allowed in the town under it's current land use regulations.
